Our Story

Once upon a time, my husband and I were newlyweds who took wonderful trips (mostly to Europe though) once or twice a year. We kept hearing the same thing, over and over, from the well-meaning people around us. “Enjoy this,” they’d say, “Once you have kids, you’ll never travel again.”

We love a good challenge – and we took it that way. We welcomed our first boy in 2010… and took him to Austria and Turkey when he was 6 months old. Then came our next son in 2012. He was a bit more of a challenge due to some medical issues, but he too got his first passport stamp in Quebec City at 6 months old. Our third son was born shortly after in 2013; he got a trip to Chile and Easter Island at 6 months old.

When our youngest (finally, a girl) was born in 2018 – we got a really wild idea. Four kids, six continents, in twelve months. Unfortunately for our awesome plan, COVID happened. But the spirit of our four kids, six continents idea lives on – and we don’t care how long it takes to accomplish. We want our kids to see the beauty in the world – and we hope you’ll join us in spirit.

Our Travel Stories

Party of Six

We found out very early on that traveling with four kids was different than traveling by ourselves, or even with just one. We’ll do our best to highlight our successes, and even our failures, in a way that helps anyone looking to travel with children. These posts will be tagged with PartyofSix.

Party of Three

Many of our early posts will be about trips we took with just one or two of the kids. These stories may have a few less details because they happened a while ago, but they will probably focus on big wins and how we feel about those trips even now. They will be tagged with PartyofThree.

Parents Time Out

We still travel alone too – and we will undoubtedly include things that are not as kid-friendly. It should be very clear whether or not we had the kids with us (also – yeah, we’ve gained and lost a lot of weight), but you can always look for the tag: ParentsTimeOut.
